Discover Glastonbury Guided by the Trees

Your local guide, Matt, will lead a gentle walk around Glastonbury's beautiful countryside, taking in spectacular views and enjoying places of outstanding natural beauty. A Tor climb is included.

Your guide, Matt, a resident of Glastonbury for over 14 years, possesses keen knowledge of local history and heritage, walking routes, landscapes, and trees. He will talk at length about all aspects of this unique town while providing personal insights into the landscape and its surrounding countryside.

You will learn about local tourist attractions and activities, discover idyllic spots off the beaten track, and Matt will take you to meet some of the oldest and largest trees in the area.

The walk is accompanied by short readings of seasonal nature poetry and a short acoustic performance of gentle folk music. A Tor climb can be included—a great way to finish the walk by peering down upon the routes we have just traversed. We end with a visit to the springs for refreshment and a gentle walk back to town (or another location if needed).

This is an exciting opportunity to discover the culture, history, and heritage of Glastonbury and Avalon via the trees, guided by a local Glastonbury resident.
